Surrey coronavirus area breakdown with over 230 new cases registered

Three new coronavirus-related deaths have been reported in Surrey in the latest daily figures.

Two of the deaths were registered with the Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust, while the other death was registered with the Royal Surrey NHS Foundation Trust.

The deaths came when another 234 cases were reported in the latest daily figures. That increase brings the total number of cases in the county since the pandemic hit 19,549.

The government said an additional 189 people had died within 28 days of testing positive for Covid-19 as of Monday (Dec. 7), bringing the UK total to 61,434.

The government said that, as of 9am on Monday, there had been a further 14,718 laboratory-confirmed coronavirus cases in the UK. It brings the total number of cases in the UK to 1,737,960.

Separate figures released by UK statistical agencies for deaths where Covid-19 has been mentioned on the death certificate, along with additional data on deaths that have occurred in recent days, show that there have now been 77,000 Covid-19 related deaths in the UK.

  • Elmbridge: 2,101 (17 increase)
  • Epsom and Ewell: 1,402 (increase of 13)
  • Guildford: 2282 (increase of 25)
  • Mole Valley: 1375 (15 increase)
  • Reigate and Banstead: 2264 (increase of 24)
  • Runnymede: 1,911 (increase of 33)
  • Spelthorne: 1,910 (increase of 33)
  • Surrey Heath: 1,467 (23 increase)
  • Tandridge: 1,279 (increase of 18)
  • Waverley: 1,743 (increase of 10)
  • Woking: 1,815 (23 increase)

Today Health Secretary Matt Hancock tweeted: “Every part of the UK now has doses of the #coronavirus vaccine.

“I want to thank the entire team that was involved in rolling out the vaccine across the UK, great progress starting tomorrow.”
