The James Harden rumor mill continues to circulate.
And to no one’s surprise, Daryl Morey wants to acquire the player who “changed his life.”
Harden will turn 31 next season and will seek his fourth consecutive scoring title. He also finished first, second or third in MVP voting in the last five seasons with two years left on his contract.
How do you think about changing a guy like that?
Fortunately, the Rockets seem uninterested in any kind of move involving James Harden because they still value competing.
Tilman Fertitta has stated in numerous interviews that the team believes they are still in their competitive window, so why would you trade your best player if you are still looking to compete?
If Harden had expressed his dissatisfaction with playing in Houston, he would be more likely to understand. However, he has established a home in Houston, has one of his best friends playing alongside him, and the team hired a new coach who should continue to extend the best part of his career.
I think it’s safe to throw this rumor away for what it is exactly: a rumor.
