“And for me, most importantly, he was an amazing father,” Nash said. “For me that is the tragedy of Kobe’s passing. He was starting to embark on that chapter of his life that I think was remarkable and something that I really admired about him. “
Bryant was beginning his second act, winning an Academy Award for an animated short film, writing children’s books, and being so involved in the success and happiness of his children. And for all of that to be interrupted is really what Nash wanted to focus on. We were all excited to see what Kobe would do next, but now all we can do is celebrate his achievements and his legacy and wonder what he would have brought to this world later in life after dying at just 41 years old.
