Stars and netizens seek justice for death of flight attendant
Netizens took to Twitter on the night of Monday January 5 to seek justice for the death of a flight attendant who was allegedly sexually abused while celebrating New Year’s Day in the city of Makati.
Celebrities criticized suspects in the murder of 23-year-old Christine Angelica Dacera, who was found unconscious in an empty bathtub in a hotel room.
On Twitter, netizens showed photos of the suspects in the rape case. Three suspects are now in police custody, according to reports.
“It’s never the clothes, never the drinks, never the victim, period. it is always, ALWAYS, the rapist’s fault. How many more times do we have to hammer this house to get it hit on his head, please ?! said Kakie Pangilinan, daughter of Sharon Cuneta and Senator Kiko Pangilinan.
Kapamilya star Bianca Gonzales said: Rape happens because of rapists, not because someone “asked for it.”
Social media influencer Kerwin King commented: “Rape happens because of rapists. Stop shaming and blaming women for wearing what they want. For being themselves. No means no. Being drunk is never an invitation or an opportunity to harass and take advantage of someone. GUILT VIOLATORS. NO VICTIMS. #JusticiaPorChristineDacera“
Dacera was also a finalist in the 2019 Mutya ng Davao beauty pageant.
