Top Republicans are defending President Trump’s unfounded claims of voter fraud and a rigged election, even as some Republicans in Congress have spoken out against the president’s latest remarks.

Here is a summary of what some of them have said:

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell

“Every legal vote must be counted. Here’s how it should work in our great country: Every legal vote must be counted. Any illegally submitted vote must not be counted. All parties must get to observe the process. And the courts are here to enforce the laws and settle disputes. This is how Americans’ votes decide the outcome. “

When specifically asked about Trump’s comments last night, McConnell’s office declined to comment.

Senator Lindsey Graham

On Fox with Sean Hannity Thursday night: “I’m here tonight to support President Trump.”

Senator Ted Cruz

Cheep: “What we’ve been seeing the last three days of # ElectionResults2020 he is partisan, political and lawless. The American people are angry that the vote count has been shrouded in darkness. We must count all votes cast legally. ”

Sen. Marco Rubio

Cheep: “Faith in our election is as important as the outcome. Preserving it requires the media or a candidate not to decide the outcome. To transparently count every legally cast vote and allow the courts to decide allegations of irregularities or fraud in evidence . “

Senator Susan Collins

Statement: “States have the authority to determine specific election rules. Every valid vote under state law must be counted. Allegations of wrongdoing can be tried by the courts. We must all respect the outcome of the elections.”

House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy

On Fox News with Laura Ingraham Thursday: “All Americans should stand up. Whatever you see … tell us if you see anything wrong,” McCarthy said. He later added: “Do not be silent about this. We cannot allow this to happen before our very eyes.”

House Minority Whip Steve Scalise

Spokeswoman Lauren Fine said: “Whip Scalise urges all states to fairly and equitably enforce their election laws as written, and only count the ballots that were legally cast. Americans deserve full transparency to have confidence in that their votes are accurately counted. “

Republican House Vice Speaker Mark Walker

cheep: “On a flight to Atlanta sitting next to a Secret Service agent talking about how blessed he has been to protect the president @realDonaldTrump and First Family. Integrity matters. Trust in our process is important. POTUS loves America and deserves a fair election. #CountAllLegalVotes
