On Tuesday afternoon, two staff members, one from the Philippine Army and one from the Air Force, were on the second floor of one of the PMA barracks when they were accosted by the shooter who shot them with an M16 rifle.
The Army soldier engaged the suspect in a fight that resulted in his injuries.
Based on the initial investigation, the PMA said the suspect suffered from a mental health problem, prompting the academy to intensify its psychosocial interventions.
