San Francisco Shock defeated the Seoul Dynasty in the 2020 Overwatch League Grand Final to become the league’s first two-time champions.
A good start at Oasis and King’s Row put SF up 2-0. In Game 3, Shock had a chance to match on Hanamura, a map they hadn’t lost in two years, until now. Seoul bounced back with its exclusive composition featuring the Ham / Sigma tank duo paired with Mercy / Ana and flexible DPS. With momentum on their side, they also take Map 4 at Watchpoint: Gibraltar. Park “Profit” Joon-yeong stepped up with a surprise pick from Genji, and with the Nanoblades clutch, managed to keep SF in 3-0 total control.
On Map 5, Shock chose Busan, another comfort map for them. With their superior defense around the points, they managed to take both points to go up 3-2 for match point. Going to Hollywood for Map 6, Seoul held on to the defense to prevent Shock from completing it. However, despite his best efforts, Shock’s defense went too far and he fought back against Dynasty.
With the victory, they are up 4-2 and become the Overwatch League champions for the second year in a row.
