Sage Tolentino commits to D1 School Auburn

Despite being two years away from graduating from high school, Sage Tolentino already knows where he is headed for college.

The 16-year-old has made a commitment to join Auburn University’s Division I school.

“My family and I have prayed for this day since I was a child. I am more than blessed and I give God all the Glory. “ shared the 7-foot Filipino-American prospect.

Auburn is an elite basketball show that has produced the likes of Charles Barkley, Chris Porter, Chuck Person, and most recently Chuma Okeke. Compete in the Southeast Conference.

For the past two years, Auburn has made it to March Madness after last doing so in 2003.

“The core traditions of Auburn University are passion and spirit, and they are exactly the program I want to spend my time developing to the next level.” he said about his decision.

Other schools that courted Tolentino were Kansas and Kentucky.

Tolentino is a product of Maryknoll High School, leading the school to consecutive crowns at the HHSAA.

Last season, he posted norms of 13.5 points, 8.3 rebounds and 3.5 blocks per game.

He is currently training with East West Private.
