In a tweet on Saturday night, the Thai Enquirer reminded his followers to follow minimal health protocols, such as frequent hand washing, wearing a face mask and observing physical distancing.

Attached to the tweet was a GIF of Roque during one of his press conferences in Malacañang.

The next day, Thai Enquirer replied in the same thread saying “We have no idea who this person is” and that he used the GIF “because it is round and Asian”.

On its website, the Thai Enquirer said that it intends to “provide a mix of detailed reporting, political and cultural commentary, as well as highlights from fiction, prose, poetry and humor.”

The Philippines has the second highest number of COVID-19 cases in the entire Southeast Asia region, preceded only by Indonesia.
