Mobile service provider Smart Communications, Inc. made the romantic wishes of K-Drama fans come true by launching a new TVC with Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin.

This is the first time the “Crash Landing on You” (CLOY) leads have found themselves sharing the screen after their critically acclaimed and much-loved drama series.

The TVC, which features Ben & Ben’s original song “Inevitable” in the background, sees the two of them find each other in a crowded city with the help of 5G technology. Their pairing in this commercial evokes a sense of doing the impossible, much like how subscribers can achieve more when connected to Smart 5G. Ben & Ben deliberately wrote the music for this TVC in association with Smart.

Much like the climax of a trilogy, the latest TVC concluded an online outcry that began last June when Smart landed in the hearts of fans through Hyun Bin’s “Simple”. Smart Ako ”TVC, followed by another much talked about Smart Signature TVC with Son Ye Jin last August.

These TVCs fueled the expectation of a joint TVC among fans, who expressed their desire loud and clear with the hashtag #InSmartWeTrust.

It will be recalled that Smart President and CEO Alfredo S. Panlilio first teased the public about a possible project involving the CLOY couple almost during the virtual press conference that launched Hyun Bin’s announcement.
Today, Smart more than delivered.

Ben & Ben wrote the music and theme song for this project starring the two international stars. In the background of the video, the local band performs “Inevitable”, purposely written as a musical score for this TVC in association with Smart.

The campaign also marks a rare occasion when a local brand features global stars Hyun Bin and Son Ye Jin as sponsors in a video that also features local musicians.
