Rolly’s death toll stands at 25

Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 9) – The death toll after super typhoon Rolly rose to 25 as three more casualties were listed in three provinces, the disaster management agency said on Monday.

The National Council for Disaster Risk Reduction and Management said Catanduanes and Camarines Sur each reported one death, while Quezón reported its first victim.

Meanwhile, six people were reported missing in the regions of Ilocos, CALABARZON, MIMAROPA and Bicol.

Of the total damage, NDRRMC said infrastructure was pegged at $ 12.51 billion and agriculture at $ 2.98 billion throughout Luzon and Eastern Visayas.

The report also listed more than 24,000 houses totally destroyed, while more than 110,000 were partially damaged.

A total of 1.8 million people were affected, including more than 87,000 who still remain in evacuation centers.

More than 120 cities and municipalities are still without electricity or water.

Meanwhile, another weather system, Tropical Storm Ulysses, is aiming to make landfall in the Bicol Region-Quezon area on Thursday, the meteorological office said.
