MANILA, Philippines – Valenzuela Mayor Rex Gatchalian angered the administration of the North Luzon Expressway on Saturday for “lack of concrete plans” to fix the expressway cashless payment system, which had been causing traffic jams in that area of your city.

“The suffering has to end. It is already taking its toll on the economic, mental and general well-being of our citizens. NGAYON HINDI BUKAS SOLUTIONS, ”Gatchalian said in a tweet.

“In short, this letter does not reach concrete action plans, solutions and arrangements,” he added.

Gatchalian was referring to his recent letter to NLEx management threatening to cancel NLEx’s business permit if it could not clear the jam due to the radio frequency identification (RFID) toll collection system.

Gatchalian gave NLEx 15 days to respond to his letter.

The NLEx conducts a “structured observation visit” for Gatchalian and members of the Toll Regulatory Board to discuss RFID issues.
