Snowdrop: release date

  • Snowdrop’s official release date has not been revealed, but we expect the series to premiere in early 2021.

JTBC confirmed on October 5 that the series would premiere in Japan sometime in 2021.

While a specific release date has yet to be confirmed, we should have an idea whether Snowdrop will premiere in the spring or summer when JTBC reveals its official seasonal projects.

We will bring you updates on the Snowdrop release date as soon as more information is confirmed.

Snowdrop: Plot

According to the official synopsis, Snowdrop is a love story set in 1987 between ‘Im Soo Ho’ and ‘Eun Young-Cho’.

Im Soo-Ho is a Korean-German student at a prestigious university and one day she breaks into a female dorm at Hosoo Woman’s University covered in blood.

Eun Young-Cho, a cheerful and lovable student, helps hide Soo-Ho and heals his wounds from whoever was chasing him.

However, what Soo-Ho doesn’t realize is that the two have already met on a blind date, where Young-Cho had already fallen in love with him.

Snowdrop: Cast

The two leads will be played by Blackpink’s Kim Ji-soo and Something in the Rain’s Jung Hae-In.

“It is true that Jisoo is starring in the new drama tentatively titled Snowdrop,” Blackpink’s management company YG Entertainment confirmed. This will be Jisoo’s first leading role in a major K-drama, although she previously made a cameo appearance on KBS 2TV’s The Producers.

GMA News Network reported on October 5 that Jung Hae-In would be joining Jisoo as the lead actor. Hae-In is best known for playing Seo Joon-Hee in Something in the Rain, but he also appeared in Prison Playbook, Reply 1988 and will appear in the upcoming Netflix K-drama ‘Start-Up’.
