MANILA – Japan-based B.League announced Monday that San-En’s Filipino reinforcement Thirdy Ravena will play in their All-Star Game next month.

Ravenna will play for the white team in the B. League due to the recommendation of the league.

He is the only NeoPhoenix chosen for the All-Star Game, which will take place in Mito.

Joining him on the White Team is the former San Miguel importer and now the naturalized center of the Japanese national team, Nick Fazekas, who was chosen as a starter through fan vote.

In fact, four Kawasaki players were chosen for the All-Star Game.

Joining Fazekas at the beginning is Ryusei Shinoyama, while Keisuke Masuda and Naoto Tsuji will come off the bench.

Their head coach, Kenji Sato, will lead the White Team.

Rounding out the White Team are Yuki Togashi, Sebas Saiz and Gavin Edwards from Chiba, Jordan Taylor from Hokkaido, Kosuke Kanamaru from Mikawa, who was chosen as the team captain after garnering the most fan votes for his team, and Avi. Schafer, and Narito Namizato from Ryukyu.

Meanwhile, former National Basketball Association player Yuta Tabuse will head up the B.League’s black team.

Tabuse is one of four Utsonomiya players chosen to start the Black Team.

However, only Ryan Rossiter, the designated captain, and Jeff Gibbs will be allowed to play in the All-Star Game barring injuries, as national team player Makoto Hiejima was ruled out of the event due to his injury.

A replacement player for Hiejima will be announced at a later date.

Toyoma Grouse Julian Mavunga is the only non-Brex player chosen by fans to start with the Black Team, while his teammate Richard Solomon will join as a reserve.

The team is completed by Yutaro Suda and Daiki Tanaka from Tokyo, Leo Vendrame from Shibuya, Takumi Saito from Nagoya, Isaiah Murphy from Hiroshima and Atsunobu Hirao from Ibaraki.

A player number 13 will be chosen for each team via social media, and the results will be announced on Wednesday.
