MANILA, Philippines – It is safe to say that NLEX’s future is secure for the next three years.

The Road Warriors officially signed star guards Kiefer Ravena and Kevin Alas to a contract extension on Tuesday.

“God is good! 3 more years with my team! Hoping to achieve great things with our group !!” Ravena tweeted.

“Thank you to the NLEX family for giving me another opportunity to represent this wonderful organization. Please be assured that we will do our best to represent the team to the best of our abilities, ”Ravena wrote on her Instagram.

The 26-year-old point guard was selected second overall by NLEX in 2017. He immediately made his presence felt for the Road Warriors, being named Player of the Week for just two games in his PBA career.

However, his impressive rookie season didn’t last long after Fiba banned him for 18 months for banned substances.

Ravena returned in the 2019 Governors’Cup and helped the Road Warriors clinch the top spot in the playoffs, where they were ultimately eliminated by NorthPort.

Unfortunately, in the meantime, he has just returned from a second ACL injury late last year and hopes to pick up where he left off as one of the league’s brightest guards before the injuries.

“Thankful to the entire NLEX family, especially Boss Rod, Boss Luigi, Boss Chris, Boss Raul, Boss Ronald, Boss Bobby and Coach Yeng for the unwavering trust. My boy @ kieferravena15, posted Alas on Instagram.
