MANILA, Philippines – The Philippine National Police (PNP) registered 54 new cases of COVID-19 on Saturday, bringing a total of 8,559, according to a post on its Facebook page.
Most of the new cases, 13 of them, occurred in the Police Office of the National Capital Region.

Additionally, 478 of 8,559 were considered active cases.
As of Saturday, the PNP had 46 more recoveries, bringing its total recoveries to 8,054.
No new deaths were recorded, and the death toll remained at 27.
