The Philippine bet that Roxie Baeyens advanced Sunday to the Top 8 of Miss Earth 2020.
Roxie was the third to be called during the announcement of the finalists, who answered the same question: “This year 2020 has many conspiracy theories, conflicting news. How do you reconcile this with the concept of truth?”
Roxie’s response was:
As citizens we have to know what is fiction or not, we have to filter what we see on social networks and only verify what is valid because as human beings we only have to spread what is the truth, especially now that we are in a global pandemic. You can’t afford fake news. We just have to work in solidarity, unifying people to be able to reach out and I am here today because I care about people and mother earth is a loving place worth fighting for, so there is no fake news.
