MANILA, Philippines – Filipino teenager Alex Eala will enter the 2020 French Open with the second seed in what would be her second Grand Slam tournament this season.
Eala won the title at the 2020 Australian Open women’s doubles tournament and will look to add other Roland Garros hardware.
The 15-year-old still ranks fourth in the world rankings, but he did not rack up more points due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
At press time, Eala has 1,718.75 points and is 211.25 behind world number 3 Daria Snigur from Ukraine.
She played at the US Open in 2019 but was eliminated in the second round.
