The PBA announced Thursday that it will maintain its own bubble in Clark, Pampanga to resume its truncated 45 season.
The Board of Governors, led by TNT President Ricky Vargas, made the announcement at a press conference held through Zoom after holding a board meeting Thursday afternoon.
The University of Angels Foundation (AUF) gymnasium in Angeles City, which was used at the 30th Southeast Asian Games last year, will host the official games.
The league will use a full bubble format, with the players and team staying in a particular location, in this case the Quest Hotel in Mimosa, and they will be transported to the practice facility and playing area. Pending approval from the Interagency Task Force (IATF), teams will enter the bubble on September 26 and games will begin the next day. Two games will be played a day, seven days a week.
PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial also said that San Miguel’s opening day victory over Magnolia on March 8 will count in the rankings.
