The PBA is considering three venues to host the possible resumption of the league’s season next month under a bubble concept.
Commissioner Willie Marcial said the league’s Board of Governors will meet again next week to finalize what kind of bubble the PBA will adopt in its bid to restart season 45.
Marcial did not reveal which sites are being considered, but they were among the total of 19 that expressed interest in hosting the bubble.

The PBA also considered an offer made by Dubai to host the bubble, but the league dropped out due to time constraints.
Four sites made their own presentation during the long board meeting that ended in the late afternoon, namely the Marriott Hotel in Pasay City, Lio Beach in El Nido, Palawan, Pontefino in Batangas City, and Clark, Pampanga.
“We will meet again to end the bubble,” said Marcial. “We will also talk about what kind of bubble and format.”

Marcial said the league could adopt an NBA-style bubble, a semi-bubble that will limit the movement of teams and personnel to hotels, practice venues and games, or the closed-circuit bubble currently being adopted in ongoing training sessions.

You also have to address the number of game days that the league can have.
Marcial had hinted that the league will likely go with a compact schedule rather than a shortened tournament.
“The format that is given is seven times a week, five times a week and six times a week,” he said. “There is also a doubleheader, there is a tripleheader, there is a combination, so let’s talk about that.”
