All PBA players, coaches and staff are free of coronavirus disease after passing the swab tests performed upon entering the bubble in Clark, Pampanga.
Commissioner Willie Marcial confirmed the development Thursday following the release of official practice times for all teams.
“They all tested negative,” he said in Filipino. “That means our closed-loop bubble [before heading to Pampanga] it was effective. They were all very disciplined and they all took very good care of themselves. “
The teams had passed the tests before turning to Clark and will be subjected to more swabs every two weeks.
Magnolia and Meralco were the first teams to return to practice earlier at the University of Angeles Foundation Gym at 1 pm, while Phoenix and Terra Firma did the same at 3:30 pm.
The Hotshots and Fuel Masters used the main gym on the fourth floor. The Bolts and Dyip, on the other hand, practiced on the second floor, which was transformed into a court after the league was able to borrow hardwood floors from the Philippine Arena.
TNT was scheduled to practice at 6 p.m. after a 30-minute sanitation procedure, a standard practice after each team before it hits the ground.
The five teams were the first group to arrive at the Quest Hotel last Monday.
All 12 teams can start practicing on Friday, as Alaska, Barangay Geneva, Blackwater, NLEX, NorthPort, Rain or Shine and San Miguel have their first practices in Pampanga lined up.
