TNT and Alaska officially unfold the PBA Philippine Cup restart when they meet in Game 1 on Sunday under a bubble setup at the University of Angeles Foundation gym in Pampanga.
Tropang Giga and Aces collide at 4 pm followed by the main game between Barangay Ginebra San Miguel and NLEX Road Warriors at 6:45 pm according to the official schedule published by the league on Tuesday.
News broke Monday night that the Geneva-NLEX clash is between the two games scheduled in the league’s resumption after a seven-month hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The league will hold double rounds every day until November 11 in a move to ensure that the Philippine Cup, the only conference of the 45th season, is completed by mid-December.
The top eight teams after the 11-game knockout round schedule advance to the quarterfinals, with the No. 1 to No. 4 seeds with a two-time lead to win. The semifinals are best of five, while the finals will still be best of seven.
Calvin Abueva could make his long-awaited comeback Monday when Phoenix Super LPG faces Meralco at 4 pm Abueva was included in the official Fuel Masters lineup and will be “eligible to play upon completion of requirements.”
Abueva attended a Games and Amusement Board webinar on Monday and is also required to take a mandatory drug test that can be taken inside Clark’s bubble.

Terrafirma (formerly Colombian) sees action for the first time against TNT at 6:45 pm, also on Tuesday.
Magnolia is aiming to bounce back from that loss to SMB on Wednesday against NLEX.
One Sports and PBA Rush will broadcast all games, with TV5 broadcasting double matches every Wednesday, Friday and Sunday.
