MANILA, Philippines – A player inside the PBA bubble in Pampanga tested positive for COVID-19, the league announced Saturday.

The development has prompted the PBA to postpone the game between Rain or Shine and Blackwater originally scheduled for Saturday at 4 p.m.

The second game with Barangay Gin and Magnolia, however, will go ahead.

Despite another reported infection, PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial and Base Development and Conversion Authority (BCDA) President Vince Dizon assured that the bubble remains intact.

Marcial added that Dizon recommended the isolation of both Blackwater and TNT. The Elite and the Tropang Giga, who met on Thursday.

Recently, a referee became the first coronavirus case in the bubble. The referee, however, “tested negative for the COVID-19 virus” after undergoing an antigen test.
