PBA fans looking for an entirely new viewing experience can join the games live virtually beginning October 19, said Commissioner Willie Marcial.
The league brought out the innovation during the 2020 Philippines Cup reboot on Sunday at the University of Angeles Foundation gym, but Marcial said the system is still in its testing stage.
“We are still working on that with TV5. This is basically a practice,” he said in Filipino.
Marcial also said that around 250 fans will be accommodated during the games.
“We are also considering spaces for teams, sponsors and other board governors,” he added. “We will announce via social media when fans will be able to join virtually. We are discussing with TV5 how we will execute the mechanics.”
