The Philippine Basketball Association will resume its games on Tuesday, November 3. This is to ensure that the PBA complies with the protocols recommended by the Interagency Working Group for the Management of Emerging Infectious Diseases (IATF-EID). With the health and safety of each of the 350 participants as the PBA’s top priorities in the bubble, the organization is committed to complying with the latest IATF recommendations: – Completion of the Blackwater player’s 10-day isolation from the date of sampling before resuming games; – Completion of the 14-day quarantine and tests before entering the bubble for all those who will test positive in the future; and – The appointment of an independent bailiff, who will supervise and guarantee compliance with the health and safety protocols, as recommended by the DILG. As an additional security measure and in coordination with Clark Development Corporation, the PBA will be assigned its separate temporary quarantine facility within the Clark Freeport Zone. These additional protocols from health experts are implemented to ensure the integrity of the bubble. The PBA reiterates that the bubble has not been broken, emphasizing that it always strengthens its protocols in consultation with the IATF and NTF to ensure the safety of everyone in the bubble.
