Metro Manila (CNN Philippines, November 29) – Barangay Geneva drew blood for the first time in the 2020 PBA Philippines Cup Finals best of seven after beating TNT Tropang Giga, 100-94, in overtime Sunday at the University Foundation of Angeles gym in Pampanga.

Japeth Aguilar and Stanley Pringle scored clutch cubes for Geneva in the extra period, finishing with 25 and 24 points, respectively.

Veteran floor general LA Tenorio orchestrated Geneva’s offense during crucial moments, including the plate to Arvin Tolentino that led to a bottom layup to tie the score at 92 with five seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.

Jayson Castro had a chance to win the game for Tropang Giga, but his shot went off as time ran out in regulation time.

Geneva edged TNT, 8-2, in overtime to secure victory.

Bobby Ray Parks Jr. led TNT with 20 markers, four boards and four dimes.

Game 2 is scheduled for December 2 at the same location.
