SMART CLARK GIGA CITY – The PBA Philippine Cup will resume on November 3 with a new game schedule after a short break over the weekend.
Team practices will also be allowed on Sunday so players have time to warm up before returning to the court two days later.
The league decided to postpone games indefinitely on Friday pending new protocols proposed by the IATF and the Health Department.

The league, in a statement released Saturday, said it is committed to complying with the latest protocol recommendations from the IATF.
The latest guidelines from the agency include the completion of the Blackwater player’s 10-day isolation from the swab date prior to resuming games, as well as the completion of a 14-day quarantine and testing prior to entering the bubble for all those. that will prove positive in the future.
Likewise, an independent bailiff will also be appointed to supervise and ensure compliance with the health and safety protocols recommended by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG).
As an additional security measure and in coordination with Clark Development Corporation (CDC), the league will be assigned its separate temporary quarantine facility within the Clark Freeport area.

“These additional protocols from health experts are implemented to ensure the integrity of the bubble,” added part of the PBA statement.
“We would like to reiterate that the PBA bubble has not been broken, but we must always strengthen our protocols in consultation with the IATF and NTF to ensure everyone’s safety in the bubble.”
