PBA Commissioner Willie Marcial revealed on Thursday that representatives of the East Asian Super League have laid out plans for possible future partnerships.
Speaking to selected sports journalists within the bubble in Pampanga, Marcial said EASL CEO Matt Beyer and CFO Henry Kerins made a presentation to full members of the Board of Governors through the Zoom conference on the same day.
The PBA chief, however, clarified that the board has yet to finalize and approve the proposal, including the schedule, tournament format and participating teams.

Last August, the league welcomed the announcement that the world governing body FIBA reached a 10-year agreement with the EASL to host a round-trip tournament with teams from the PBA and East Asia, in particular. from China, Japan and South Korea.
The EASL is scheduled to begin in October next year, one month after the FIBA Asia Champions Cup, with the Final Four and the championship game every February.
NLEX and Blackwater participated in the Super 8 tournament in 2018 before San Miguel Beer, TNT and Blackwater joined the Terrific 12 last year.
The Road Warriors and Beermen finished fourth in both tournaments in Macau.
