MANILA, Philippines – The head of the Southern Luzon Command of the Philippine Armed Forces (AFP), Lt. Gen. Antonio Parlade Jr., said Friday that he will not apologize to actress Liza Soberano following allegations that he had ” tagged in red “because of it. association with the Gabriela women’s group.

“Why should I apologize?” Parlade said in an interview on ABS-CBN News Channel on Friday.

Parlade, in a statement posted to Facebook on Tuesday, urged the actress to withdraw her support of the Gabriela women’s group after she previously appeared on Gabriela Youth’s webinar titled “Mga Tinig ni Nene: Reclaiming our voices on the Day La Niña International “, where she took a position on the issue of violence against women and children.

Parlade said Sovereign needs to be educated about the party list group’s supposed true agenda. He also said that the actress “not yet” is part of the New People’s Army, the armed wing of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP).

The military general, meanwhile, denied having marked Sovereign.

He even claimed that the Sovereign family, through the actress Atty’s legal advisor. Jun Lim thanked him for “informing them about the nature of this organization.”

“The family thanked me. Atty. Lim thanked me and called me to send me the thank you letter and said that the family is grateful, why should I apologize? Again, I didn’t label Liza Soberano red, ”Parlade said.

“I actually got a call from Atty. Lim thanked me yesterday and informed me that they are sending me a thank you letter for informing them about the nature of this organization and with which they do not want their client to be associated, “he added.
