MANILA, Philippines – The low pressure area (LPA) in front of the city of Davao is less likely to develop into a tropical depression in the next 24 hours, the Philippine Administration of Geophysical and Astronomical Services (Pagasa) said on Sunday.

Meanwhile, Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to experience new hot and humid weather conditions due to easterly winds or warm Pacific Ocean winds.

Pagasa said cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated showers due to localized thunderstorms are also expected.

The approaching weather disturbance could bring rainfall over parts of the Visayas and Mindanao as it approaches land, Pagasa added,

The LPA was last seen 750 kilometers east of the city of Davao.
