P20M worth of luxury used cars seized

The Customs Office (BOC) seized an allegedly smuggled shipment of second-hand luxury cars worth about 20 million pesetas at the international container port of Manila (MICP). The shipment was intercepted on October 20 at MICP by the customs investigation and intelligence service. According to the BOC, the shipment, which was imported by Blue Core Enterprises, arrived on October 16 and was initially declared movable. But the container was found to contain a Porsche sports car, a Bentley luxury car, a Mercedes Benz sports car and a dismantled Volkswagen, the BOC said. —Jeanette I. Andrade
