Veteran OPM singer Ray-An Fuentes confirmed on social media that he and his family tested positive for the 2019 coronavirus disease (COVID-19).
In a Facebook post on Sunday, Fuentes announced: “Results are in! Except for my oldest son, we all tested positive for COVID-19.”
According to the “Umagang Kay Ganda” singer, who is now a pastor, he and his wife were the most affected.
Fuentes said he has already been transferred to the intensive care unit and has been bedridden with oxygen assistance.

“The goal is to reduce the oxygen levels necessary for you to be discharged,” he said. “But the demand increased and he received a visit from the ICU doctor who said that if the levels do not drop, they will have to transfer me to the ICU. That is news that I do not want to hear.”
He added, “I don’t know where this will all lead, but yes, I am extremely grateful for the prayers and well wishes. Especially for my wife.”
Mei-ling, his wife, was admitted to the ICU and was still on the ventilator, Fuentes said.
“She is still on a ventilator because she is very ill, the sickest in ICU right now. They are working very hard on her, but they cannot assure me of a positive improvement,” he said. “MY HEART CRIES AND BREAKS !!! And my soul feels so tired! LORD, IF IT EVER NEEDS YOU, IT NEEDS YOU BADLY. RIGHT NOW!”
