MANILA, Philippines – OPM singer Ray-An Fuentes has revealed that he and his family contracted COVID-19.

It was on November 29 that Fuentes, whose hits include “Umagang Kay Ganda,” first discovered that he and his family were struck with COVID-19.

“The results are available! Except for my oldest son, we all tested POSITIVE for Covid19! “Fuentes said in a Facebook post.

In a later post on Thursday, the singer said that he and his wife Mei-ling have been admitted to the hospital, adding that Mei-ling was “the most affected.”

“She has difficulty breathing and had to be intubated in the ICU (intensive care unit),” Fuentes said.

He also said this note to his wife: “Honey, I know how difficult this must be for you. You are definitely the anchor of the family. But the virus has stolen our lives.

“IF you feel like you don’t want to fight this anymore, just ‘whisper’ in my spirit and we can both go home together. Without you, my life has no meaning, “he added.

And in a recent post on Saturday, the singer-turned-pastor said he is now in the hospital’s intensive care unit.

“Well, now I am officially in the ICU. Lord, have mercy! “, Said.

Fuentes, now a pastor, left the Filipino show business in 1988. He has now lived in Canada with his family since 1997.
