The partnership of the multinational telecommunications company Nokia with the digital services company Smart Communications Inc. (Smart) aims to drive the acceleration of the adoption of IoT (Internet of Things) in the country. By using Nokia’s global IoT Network Grid (WING), Smart will be able to offer a future-proof, fully virtualized end-to-end solution to meet the critical requirements of enterprise customers.
Nokia’s WING managed service helps operators capture IoT market share without having to invest in infrastructure. Thanks to the flexible investment business model as it grows, operators can go to market quickly and scale IoT services profitably.
“IoT services are increasingly becoming a necessity as part of any operator’s digital transformation strategy,” said Ankur Bhan, Director of WING Business at Nokia. “Nokia’s WING solution is at the forefront of enabling new IoT use cases through a range of connectivity options, including 5G.”

The partnership expects WING to provide Smart with its software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform, which offers the tools necessary to eliminate the complexity associated with cost-effective connection and management of new devices. Collaboration with Nokia WING enables Smart to deliver advanced automation and real-time control capabilities across IoT.
This will allow companies to run more automated, productive, sustainable and more secure businesses with harmonized service level agreements while providing real-time information. Beyond connectivity, WING Vertical-as-a-Service opens up opportunities for Smart to target its business customers with end-to-end IoT solutions.
“The Nokia WING IoT Platform solution reinforces our ability to quickly solve our customers’ IoT-related requirements and help them get to market faster and on a larger scale.
