We actually don’t know much about the new Z sports car, not even its name. Its engine, platform and technology also remain shrouded in mystery. However, rumors always suggest that the technology is already being used by the luxury brand Infiniti.
We mean the V6 biturbo that powers quite a few models. Thanks to Infiniti thinking it can compete with the BMW M, the Nismo could have something like 450 horsepower or all-wheel drive, which is still relatively uncommon in this segment.
But today, we are here to talk about the fusion between the Z Proto concept and the Nismo design language. Rendering artist Kleber Silva made all the right moves with this high-performance studio, which drips in aerodynamics.
Nismo’s signature look is a black set of aerodynamic elements and a red stripe that surrounds the car. In the case of the GT-R, these add-ons are made of carbon fiber, which is what we see here. Installing those items would cost a lot of money, but we’ve seen that Nissan isn’t afraid to charge more.
Our only concern is that the Z Proto concept is all about a modern twist on the retro look. It has clues from all the other Z sports cars dating back 50 years. Adding carbon fiber and a bolt-on wing could be the wrong move. And let’s not forget that these parts should also help the 400Z set records on the track.
