Another person died in Cornwall after testing positive for coronavirus.
The death was recorded at the Royal Cornwall Hospital in Truro on Sunday, November 8, but it has only been reported in NHS England figures today (November 13).
Take the total number of hospital deaths in Cornwall up to 95 – 69 at the Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust and still 26 at the Cornwall Partnership NHS Trust.
The latest figures from the Office for National Statistics, covering deaths across all settings, show that as of October 30 there had been 213 Covid-19 related deaths in Cornwall.
A statement from the NHS England says: “Another 246 people who tested positive for the coronavirus (Covid-19) have died, bringing the total number of confirmed deaths in England hospitals to 35,886.
“The patients were between 26 and 100 years old. All but five (between 69 and 89) had known underlying health conditions.
“The date of death ranges from October 18 to November 12, with the majority being November 8 or later.
“Their families have been informed.”
