MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Health (DOH) has recorded 1,968 additional cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), bringing the current total count of confirmed cases in the country to 418,818.
In its case report issued Sunday, the DOH also recorded an additional 10,957 recoveries and 43 deaths.
The total COVID-19 case count in the country now consists of 24,209 active cases (5.8 percent), 386,486 recoveries (92.3 percent), and 8,123 deaths (1.94 percent).
Of the active cases, 82.5 percent are mild, 8.2 percent asymptomatic, 5.8 percent critical, 3.2 percent severe, and 0.28 percent moderate.
Meanwhile, 56 percent of the total 1,900 intensive care unit beds are still available, and 61 percent of the 13,500 isolation beds are unoccupied, according to the DOH.
Another 70 percent of the 5,900 beds in the wards are available and 80 percent of the 2,000 fans are still available for use.
