Netflix announces Korean adaptation of its original Spanish series ‘La Casa de Papel’
Fans of “La Casa de Papel” are now excited after Netflix recently announced that its original series has the Korean adaptation of said Spanish show.
According to the statement sent to Bulletin Entertainment, the new version will be set on the Korean peninsula.
Kim Hong-sun will sit in the director’s chair, while Ryu Yong-jae and his team will be the scriptwriters.
The production is a collaboration between BH Entertainment and Contents Zium.
Since Part 1 was released in 2017, the “La Casa de Papel” heist has taken the world by storm. More than 65 million member households chose to watch Part 4 of the series in Spanish in the first four weeks of its release in April 2020, and the fifth and final part is currently in production.
Netflix noted that more information about the heist in Korea will be announced at a later date.
