Award-winning Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro lost a career-high 37 points to lift the Miami Heat past the Boston Celtics 112-109 in Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Finals.

The California-based sports website Bleacher Report paid tribute to the 20-year-old rookie by creating art that reinvented him as an anime character.

Bleacher Report detailed Herro in the costume and colors of the budding hero “Deku” or Izuku Midoriya in Kōhei Horikoshi’s shonen manga and anime series Boku no Hero Academia (My Hero Academia).

Herro also turned on green electric lights, which are emitted by the character’s power (peculiarity in the anime). The words are written below: TY HERRO ACADEMIA.

“I love my hero crossover!” Facebook user Matt Dougherty said in the comment section.

“This just goes to show that you don’t have to be flashy to be recognized. These are basic and fundamental aspects for [H]err. The most important thing, the mentality and the confidence ”, commented Alfred Alejano Castro, another netizen.

As of this writing, the Facebook post has garnered 54,000 reactions, 2,400 comments, and 20,000 shares.

Herro, who was 14-of-21 from the field, also scored the most points made by a 20-year-old in the playoffs since the Lakers’ great Magic Johnson’s 42 points in 1980.

With the victory, the Heat are about to win the NBA Eastern Conference Finals with a table of 3-1.

Game 5 is set on Friday (Saturday morning Manila time).
