The NBA has officially announced its All-NBA teams for the 2019/20 season. Voting was completed prior to the league restart in July and was based on results as of March 11.
Dollars ahead Giannis Antetokounmpo and Lakers ahead Lebron James, widely considered the two favorites for this year’s MVP award, were the only two players to be voted unanimously for the NBA’s first team this season. Rockets guard James harden, Big man of the Lakers Anthony Davisand Mavericks guard Luka doncic completed the First Team.
The full All-NBA teams are listed below, with total votes in parentheses. Players received five points for a first team vote, three points for a second team vote, and one point for a third team vote, for which Giannis and LeBron got a perfect 500 – first team nods out of 100 voters.

Among the players who missed the cut were the Bucks forward. Khris middleton (82 points), center Sixers Joel embiid (79), Mage Guard Bradley Beal (32), and Raptors guard Kyle lowry (26). A total of 11 other players also received at least one All-NBA vote; full results can be found here.
Today’s announcement is a positive financial development for both Siakam and Simmons. As a result of the assent of Siakam’s second team and the place of Simmons’ third team, both players will earn starting salaries equal to 28% of the 2020/21 salary cap, instead of 25%.
The exact value of your new contracts will depend on where the 20/21 cap lands. If it stays the same as 2019/20 ($ 109,141MM), Siakam’s four-year extension will be worth $ 136.9MM instead of $ 122.2MM (with a 25% starting salary), while the five-year pact of Simmons will be worth $ 177.2MM instead of $ 158.3MM.
All NBA player slots are of great importance to players seeking super max contracts, but there is no news on that front as a result of this year’s voting. Antetokounmpo and Gobert are still eligible for super-max extensions, but had already qualified based on their previous recognitions.
Embiid would have become an eligible supermax in 2021 had he earned an All-NBA spot, but he’ll need to be part of an All-NBA team next season to gain eligibility now, like ESPN’s Bobby Marks tweets.
