REGULAR The action of the National Basketball Association (NBA) season takes a hiatus on Monday (Manila time) for the Midseason Classic All-Star festivities.
Taking place at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, this year’s proceedings will be spearheaded by competing teams led by top voting fans LeBron James of the Los Angeles Lakers and Kevin Durant of the Brooklyn Nets.
Starting with Mr. James on Team LeBron are Giannis Antetokounmpo (Milwaukee), Stephen Curry (Golden State), Luka Doncic (Dallas) and Nikola Jokiformer (Denver).
The Durant team, meanwhile, features starters Bradley Beal (Washington), Joel Embiid (Philadelphia), Kyrie Irving (Brooklyn) and Kawhi Leonard (LA Clippers). Due to injury, Mr. Durant will be unable to play and was replaced in the starting lineup by Jayson Tatum (Boston).
Last Friday, Messrs. James and Durant chose the reserves for their respective teams from the list of players voted by the league coaches.
