MANILA – The head of the Philippine National Police, General Archie Gamboa, praised the law enforcement officer who tried to shoot down and arrest a foreigner who yelled at him and cursed him for enforcing quarantine policy in an exclusive town in the Makati city.
Gamboa, along with PNP spokesman Police Brig. General Bernard Banac and Metro Manila Police Chief Major General Debol Sinas visited the police sergeant major. Roland Von Madrona at the latter’s assigned station in Makati.
The country’s top police officer personally thanked Madrona for her “impartial” action by charging people who violate the city’s improved community quarantine rules.

In two separate videos, the policeman was shown trying to arrest Spanish citizen Javier Salvador Parra when he reprimanded him and his fellow officer, after they tried to accuse the maid of the foreigner for not wearing a face mask while she was out of the home.
According to Makati City Ordinance No. 2020-089, residents, workers, and everyone else in the city must wear face masks and other protective equipment outdoors or in public places.
Madrona had said that what forced him to try to arrest Parra was when the stranger cursed him and even gave him the finger despite several attempts to make him understand why they were there.
He has already filed charges of direct assault, resistance and disobedience to a person in authority, and unfair vexation, as well as violation of the Communicable Diseases Reporting Law and a city of Makati ordinance that penalizes the use of face masks against Spanish people. citizen.
Meanwhile, former Supreme Court judge Antonio Carpio reminded law enforcement officers that they could not enter a residence without the owner’s permission or a court order.
