Musician-turned-DICT USec Named Duterte Telecommunications Advisor

MANILA, Philippines – Malacañang announced Wednesday the appointment of radio musician and jockey Ramon Pereyra Jacinto as telecommunications advisor to President Rodrigo Duterte.

Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said Jacinto was appointed to his new post on November 25.

Prior to his new appointment, Jacinto served as Presidential Advisor on Economic Affairs and Information Technology and later became Assistant Secretary for the Department of Information and Communications Technology.

Jacinto campaigned for Duterte and performed at the rallies of the then mayor of the city of Davao during the 2016 presidential elections.
