MANILA, Philippines – More than 29,000 people have been vaccinated against COVID-19 so far, Malacañang said Monday.
“We already have nearly 30,000 or 29,266 front-line physicians vaccinated,” Presidential spokesman Harry Roque said in an online briefing.
(We now have almost 30,000 or 29,266 front-line physicians who have been vaccinated.)
On March 7 alone, Roque said 4,128 people were vaccinated.
383,980 COVID-19 vaccines have been implemented in different regions, of which 329,480 are Sinovac and 54,500 are AstraZeneca.
“So the implementation of your first dose of Sinovac is over,” said Roque.
(We have deployed the first doses of Sinovac, it is done).
The Philippines has been implementing its COVID-19 vaccination program using 600,000 doses of Sinovac vaccines from China and 525,600 doses of AstraZeneca vaccines from the COVAX facility.
One million more doses of Sinovac vaccines purchased by the national government will be delivered to the Philippines on March 21, said vaccine czar Carlito Gálvez Jr.
