MANILA – The bag of University of the Philippines law professor Ryan Oliva was found Friday along the shores of Sitio Natalon in Looc City, Occidental Mindoro, police said.
Oliva’s identification cards, ATM cards, cell phone and her other personal belongings were found in the bag, according to Occidental Mindoro police.
Oliva’s bag was discovered by a resident at a construction site around 6 a.m., police added.
However, no sightings of the UP professor disappeared in the area were reported.
His relatives have also identified the bag as his.
The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) revealed on Thursday that Oliva was last seen with the same bag, as seen in a CCTV video of an establishment from which he allegedly came last Sunday.
In the video at around 10:28 a.m. Sunday, he was seen wearing a pair of shorts and a backpack.
Oliva, a legislative liaison officer in the Department of Tourism and a professor at the University of the Philippines School of Law, was reported missing by his family on Tuesday, or 3 days after he was last heard from.
