Miss Universe Philippines Candidate Positive for COVID-19: ‘I apologize if I ever put you at risk’

A candidate for Miss Universe Philippines announced that she tested positive for the coronavirus disease (COVID-19) and is now isolated.

Sorsogon’s beauty queen, María Isabela Galeria, revealed the results of her COVID-19 test yesterday September 27 through Instagram.

“This news breaks my heart deeply and I apologize if I have ever put them at risk,” he said, sharing a photo of a quarantine facility.

“We went ahead and did all the safety precautions to protect ourselves from the infection, yet it still found us,” he lamented.

“I have talked to those I saw recently. My team, my MUP sisters, and those I had close contact with in Manila all tried [negative]. “

She also asked those in close contact with her to inform the health officials in their city or municipality. “In the hope that he did not transmit the virus to you. I’m really, deeply sorry, ”he said.

Miss Universe Philippines 2020 will take place on October 25 after being postponed twice due to the coronavirus pandemic. The winner will represent the country in Miss Universe 2020. JB
