MANILA: One of the vehicles featured during the MIAS Wired evening sessions on December 16 was the all-new Jeep Renegade, considered a suitable vehicle for young professionals looking for their first vehicle, modern parents and young entrepreneurs.
The Renegade’s size makes it more convenient to maneuver even on small streets and tight spaces.
Based on iconic Jeep models, the new Renegade shares some attributes, such as a youthful vibe and distinction with the Jeepster. This can be seen with the classic seven-slot gloss wrap grille, which gives it an iconic and modern appeal while maintaining the athletic and rugged stance for which all Jeep vehicles have been renowned.
The new Jeep Renegade is also equipped with sporty headlights with daytime running lights and 17-inch aluminum-alloy wheels. Drivers and their families or friends also have the benefit of a full sunroof.
Also, the Renegade’s appearance is almost similar to the robust stance of a Wrangler, but the only difference is that it provides a youthful, exciting and fresh feel.
The new Renegade is powered by the new 1.4-liter Tjet turbo engine with Engine Stop Start, which generates a torque of 230 Nm and an output of 147 hp. This engine is also mated to a seven-speed dry dual-clutch transmission.
When it comes to the interior, the new Renegade features a seven-inch touchscreen with Uconnect 4 technology with Apple CarPlay and compatible with Baidu Carlife for maximum entertainment.
Through its six-speaker infotainment system with built-in Bluetooth and voice command, occupants can easily establish intelligent connections with the vehicle while navigating through the hustle and bustle of the city.
The Renegade also prides itself on its ample cargo space with compartment cover and lamp, as it has 60/40 folding rear seats so the driver can have enough room for luggage or more passengers.
In terms of safety features, the new Renegade boasts the unified capability of the ParkSense rear assist system and the ParkView reversing camera, which makes parking more systematic specifically when driving in or out of the subway.
Other active safety features include next-generation airbags, electronic stability control, electronic roll mitigation, electric power steering, electronic parking brake, battery drain protection, four-wheel antilock disc brakes, and control. traction at all speeds.
The new Jeep Renegade has two variants, namely the Renegade Longitude, priced at P1,640,000, and the Renegade Limited, priced at P1,790,000.
