Mercedes-Benz EQC: Mercedes-Benz to Launch EQC Electric SUV on October 8

NEW DELHI: Mercedes-Benz India plans to drive the first premium electric EQC on October 8, the company announced Monday.
The EQ brand, which will become the face of Mercedes’ electric portfolio around the world, was unveiled at Auto Expo 2020.
EQC, which is based on the GLC platform, includes the features of the top of the line GLS. The car is expected to be priced at around Rs 1 – Rs 1.20 crore (ex showroom).
The design is completely new, with stylish LEDs in the front and rear of the SUV. Surely futuristic in construction, the logo sits smack dab in the middle of the horizontally stacked grid.

The interior is luxurious and well equipped. Features like sunroof, 64-color mood lighting, energizer pack, 3-zone climate control, front row ventilation and massage function, Burmeister sound system, wireless charging, and various other amenities come standard. The vibrant 10.25-inch touchscreen is equipped with M-BUX.
In terms of safety, EQC features seven airbags, ABS with EBD, Active Brake Assist, ESP (Driving Modes), Blind Spot Assist, Attention Assist and more.
EQC will be available in three color options: Polar White, Metallic Graphite Gray and Metallic Hi-Tech Silver.

Twin asynchronous motors are attached to the front and rear axles. EQC generates 408 horsepower and 760 Nm of maximum torque with a 0-100 km / h in 5.1 seconds. The range claimed by NEDC is 450 kilometers.
When it comes to charging, a 50 kWh fast charger will recharge the battery in 90 minutes, while the 7.4 kWh AC call box charger will take 10 hours to fully charge.
Globally, the German automaker intends to bring more than 10 pure electric cars in all segments by the end of 2022.
