The Hollywood producer, who was married to the Duchess of Sussex from 2011 to 2013, announced his engagement to American heiress Kurland two weeks after Prince Harry and Markle’s royal wedding in May 2018.

Her Instagram post announcing that they are joining her brood sparked good wishes from famous friends, including Australian comedian Celeste Barber with whom Engelson worked on her memoir Challenge Accepted in 2018.

Engelson, from Great Neck, New York, and Meghan started dating in 2004 before she rose to fame in the TV legal drama TV Suits.
The couple dated for six years before getting engaged in 2010 and getting married in a lavish beach ceremony in Jamaica in 2011.
Their marriage lasted only two years, and sources close to the couple told the Daily Mail in 2017 that their rise to fame took their toll on their relationship.
Weeks after their marriage, Meghan had her big break in costumes and spent months each year filming in Toronto, Canada, while Engelson stayed at her Los Angeles home.
‘It put tension on the relationship. Trevor was in Los Angeles making movies, Meghan was in another country within a five-hour flight, and simply took its toll, ” the source said.
They separated in the summer of 2013 and divorced in 2014, with documents citing “irreconcilable differences.”
It is understood that it was Meghan who finally decided that the marriage was over.
