Easy money for the “money”.

Floyd Mayweather lived up to one of his nicknames when he showed off his $ 20,000 wagering winnings after Teofimo Lopez defeated Vasyl Lomachenko on Saturday (Sunday Manila time).

The undefeated Lopez proved who’s boss in Las Vegas after defeating Lomachenko in a unanimous decision victory to become the undisputed lightweight world champion.

Mayweather, who vouched for Lopez, was quick to show off his betting winnings when he posted an Instagram photo of his betting slip.

Out of $ 6,500, the retired champion earned $ 20,150 (approximately P980,700), collecting a total of $ 26,650.

“A slight win,” Mayweather, 43, wrote.

Meanwhile, Lopez received praise from boxing greats like Manny Pacquiao and Mike Tyson on social media.

“Congratulations to @TeofimoLopez for an indisputable great performance,” Pacquiao tweeted.

Tyson, for his part, described Lopez as the “man to beat.”

“Brooklyn was definitely in the house tonight. López is the man to beat. Another champion from Brooklyn, ”he tweeted.

The recent victory made the 23-year-old Lopez, who is 16-0 with 12 knockouts, the only four-belt champion in lightweight history and the youngest of all boxing accounts.
